Welcome! I’m Shari Kalter.
I’m Shari Kalter, an educator dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Currently, I teach Universal Pre-K in Newark, NJ, and previously served as the Director of Early Childhood Education at Gottesman RTW Academy.
I hold a bachelor’s degree from Ramapo College of NJ, a master’s degree in education from Gratz College, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Gratz College. Additionally, I have a NJDOE standard PK-3 teaching license and a NJDOE standard administrative license for instruction and supervision. My commitment to lifelong learning has led me to continue my professional development through coursework at Montclair State University and Rowan University.
With over 20 years of experience working with young children and their families, my passion lies in creating equitable educational opportunities where students, teachers, and communities feel supported and empowered. As both an educator and aspiring leader, I strive to cultivate critical thinking, advocate for inclusive practices, and address systemic inequities, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to reach their full academic and social potential.
